Technological pedagogical content knowledge: A framework for teacher knowledge.

Friday 8 October, 2010

Literature discussion of:

Mishra, P. & Koehler, M. (2006). Technological pedagogical content knowledge: A framework for teacher knowledge. Teachers College Record, 108(6), 1017-1054.

The second Literature Discussion for the Technology and Teaching Practice Group was based on Mishra and Koehler’s Technology Pedagogical Content Knowledge Framework and the implications for teacher education and professional learning.

Six of the group’s members; Tamsin, Troels, Jacquie, Arthur, Wendy and Barney will be presenting a symposium at AARE (held in Melbourne November 29 – December 2) made up of three different papers which use Mishra and Koehler’s framework as a lens, so having a session on this seemed timely for these group members and also of interest to others in the group due to the technological focus of the framework.
