This session, led by Alan Bain, was a discussion of meta-analysis using John Hattie’s highly cited work culminating in his book ‘Visible Learning’ as an example (this book accessible as an eBook through the CSU library online). The outcomes of Hattie’s work and how they can and have informed teaching practice were discussed along with the broader issues associated with the use of meta-analysis for educational and educational technology research.
